Fundamental research involves joint studies with Niigata University of Health and Welfare. Finally we study the effects of heel height and the angle of toe curvature reflex while walking. These findings are used as feedback for our footwear design.
Oxygen uptake is measured by analysis of exhaled gas. We study ways of walking using minimum energy expenditure. On the other hand, we study way's to increase energy expenditure while walking to achieve a weight loss effect.
Meanwhile, our development staff operates on a philosophy of free-spirited ideas, thinking outside the realm of conventional footwear to create unique products which perceptively incorporate customers underlying needs. Through this systematic research and our development team’s passion for innovation, new product concepts are born.
Born through firm research and conviction, our product concepts are formed into trial samples where the design undergoes strict adequacy testing. Designs are put through several tests, including the amount of work performed by the muscles during motion, oxygen uptake, the angle of the joints while walking, foot pressure distribution measurements, and stabilometer readings while standing upright. Testing is not just restricted to objective data. Through psychological testing our monitors also provide subjective information regarding the actual functionality level of the product. This research is presented at academic conferences and acknowledged by experts in the field.
